Chef Ife Craig, is the owner/Chef of Ginger & Spice Catering which began operations in May 2015. Under her stewardship, Ginger & Spice Catering has both the capability and capacity to cater for small, medium and large events such as weddings, corporate functions and other special events.

This is a major initiative for Chef Craig who first decided to take the gigantic step to launch her own business in October 2012, after a successful career as a chef. She began Ginger & Spice Café as the owner/operator of the café at one of the major private tertiary education establishments in the country leaving behind the job of Banquet Chef at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Chef Craig’s career and education include some significant milestones. She was a member of the award winning Trinidad & Tobago Culinary Team in 2005. That experience prompted her to further pursue her passion for the culinary arts by enrolling at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Miami. Here she began to formally perfect her culinary skills discovered since she was of primary school age. Le Cordon Bleu’s structured programme allowed her to combine both the theory and practice of food preparation which began as part of her BSc Programme in Hospitality Management at The University of the West Indies in The Bahamas. So impressive were her culinary arts and interpersonal skills she was able to acquire internships at the Five Diamond Four Seasons Hotel in Nevis, The Sandals Resort in the Bahamas and The Ritz-Carlton in Washington DC.

Her professional experience in Trinidad and Tobago includes the following establishments: Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain, Crews Inn, Light House Restaurant; Ruby Tuesday, Movie Towne and WokHay, Price Plaza,Chaguanas. Working in the industry for several years allowed her to acquire managerial skills to combine with her now well-developed culinary skills. Chef Craig attended Bishop Anstey High School in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Currently she is completing her MBA Degree specializing in Marketing.
